Appeal to help trace Umer Yasin, reported missing from Dundee

Officers are appealing for the help of the public to trace Umer Yasin, 15, who has been reported missing from Dundee.

Umer was last seen around 1.30pm on Monday, 8 December, 2025 on Arbroath Road.

He is described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with short dark hair and short facial hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black Monterrain jacket, black trousers, black Nike Airmax trainers, a black baseball cap and had a black backpack.

Enquiries so far suggest he may have travelled to Edinburgh.

Sergeant Leanne McNary said: “We are concerned for Umer’s welfare and are keen to trace him to make sure he is safe.

“I am appealing to anyone that may have information about Umer’s whereabouts get in touch with officers.

“I’d also appeal to Umer directly – if you see this, please let us know you are safe.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2461 of 8 December, 2025.
