Two charged following recovery of cannabis valued at over £182,000
Police Scotland can confirm that two men, aged 27 and 41, have been arrested and charged following an intelligence-led drugs recovery near Hamilton.
The recovery took place around 10.45am on Monday, 29 November, when officers stopped a white Ford Transit on the M74 near junction 6.
Following extensive searches, a quantity of cannabis was recovered with a value of over £182,000. The two men are expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 30 November.
Detective Inspector Craig McPhail said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and I want to reassure the public that we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to stop these illegal substances from causing harm on our streets.
