Teenager seriously injured in South Ayrshire crash
Road policing officers are appealing for information after a serious crash near Minishant in South Ayrshire.
The incident happened on the B7045 at the junction with the B742 around 7.35am on Wednesday, 17 November.
The collision involved a blue Vauxhall Vectra and a blue Ford Kuga.
The 19-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall suffered serious injuries in the incident.
He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock and subsequently to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
The 35-year-old male driver of the Ford was uninjured.
The road was closed for around seven and a half hours to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Craig Beaver of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage from around the time of the crash on Wednesday morning.
