Man who died following collision between pedestrian and van on A823 in Fife named
Police Scotland can confirm the identity of a man who died following a fatal crash in Rosyth which happened on Friday, 5 November, 2021.
He was Alan James Lauder, aged 55, from Rosyth.
Mr Lauder, a pedestrian, was struck by a white MAN box van on the A823 near the M90 junction 2, Rosyth, at around 1.30am. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The van driver was uninjured.
Sergeant Colin Morrison, from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts continue to be with Mr Lauder’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
“I’d ask anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dash cam footage of either the van or Mr Lauder before the collision happened, to provide any relevant information to officers at the earliest opportunity.”
