Appeal for witnesses following sexual assault - Helensburgh
Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man at the bus stop on East Princes Street near Maitland Court, Helensburgh, on Friday, 19 November, 2021.
Around 10.40 pm, the woman was chatting to a man she had met at the bus stop when after a short time he tried to kiss her. When she rejected him he sexually assaulted her before walking off.
The suspect is described as white, 6 ft 2, of heavy build, with ginger hair and beard. He was wearing all in black clothing; jeans, jacket and trainers.
Detective Constable Ross Gemmell, Clydebank CID, said:
"Although the woman did not require medical treatment, she was left very shaken by what had happened.
"We are following lines of enquiry with regard to the person responsible but are still appealing to anyone who may recognise the description of the man or who may have seen what happened to come forward.
