Appeal following serious assault in Blackburn
Police Scotland is appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Blackburn.
The incident took place around 11.30am on Friday, 5 November in Riddochhill Road.
The 23-year-old victim was walking in the street when a man exited a Ford Transit van and assaulted him. He suffered injuries to his head and body and was taken to St John’s Hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable David McDougall of Livingston CID said: "The victim is now at home recovering from his injuries and we are carrying out enquiries to trace the man responsible.
"He is described as being around 5ft 11 inches in height, of stocky build, he had Scottish accent and was wearing a black tracksuit top and black tracksuit bottoms. He then left the area in a Ford Transit.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault or anyone who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 1195 of Friday, 5 November.
