Body recovered from River Clyde in Clydebank
Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde in Clydebank.
Officers were called to the river, near to Clydebank Leisure Centre, Aurora Avenue, around 2.55pm on Tuesday, 21 December.
Formal identification is yet to take place, however the family of Derek Beattie, reported missing from the Harthill area on Saturday, 27 November, has been made aware.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
