Drug Recovery - A74(M), near Lockerbie, Dumfries & Galloway

Drugs with an estimated street value of sixty thousand pounds have been seized by officers in Dumfries & Galloway.

Around 4.10 pm on Thursday, 20 August, 2020, officers stopped a black Vauxhall Insignia travelling north on the A74(M), near Lockerbie, and after searching the vehicle, recovered a quantity of controlled drugs, believed to be cannabis.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the find.  He is due to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Friday, 21 August, 2020.
