Appeal following road crash in Maddiston, Falkirk

Police in Forth Valley are appealing for information following a serious single vehicle road crash in Maddiston, Falkirk, on Friday, 21 August, 2020.

Around 10.20 pm last night, a 44-year-old man was seriously injured after his purple Mini Cooper overturned whilst travelling East on Vellore Road, near to Almond Road, Maddiston.

He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he remains for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

The injured man was the sole occupant in the car.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick, Edinburgh Road Policing Unit, said: “We are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information relating to this crash.

"The 44-year-old man has suffered serious injuries are we are asking for assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"If anyone has any information or possible dashcam footage that could help, please get in contact with officers.

"Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 4393 of Friday, 22 August, 2020."
