Man charged in connection with death after Wick incident

Police Scotland can confirm that a 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man following an incident within a property on Barrogill Street in Wick.

The incident happened around 9.30pm  on Saturday, 13 June, 2020.

A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital following the incident. 

He died at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness on Tuesday, 16 June.

The 60-year-old man will appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday, 18 June, 2020.

Detective Inspector Craig Still said: "A police presence will remain in the area whilst enquiries continue and I would like to thank residents for their patience during this time.  

"Anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 3874 of 13 June or alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 1111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
