Housebreakings - Aberdeen

Detectives are appealing for information after two churches were broken into in Aberdeen.


The first theft by housebreaking took place overnight on the 12 – 13 September 2019 at the Kirk of St Nicholas on Back Wynd, Aberdeen.  The building was broken into and a two-figure sum of money was stolen. 


The second theft by housebreaking took place overnight on 15-16 September 2019 at Holburn West Parish Church on Holburn Street, Aberdeen.  Nothing was stolen, however a window was damaged.


Detectives are continuing their enquiries into these incidents and checking CCTV images to gather more information.  Anyone with information that may assist their investigation should contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 0501 of 16 September.  Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
