Man Assaulted - Glasgow Rd, Hardgate, Clydebank

Police in Clydebank are continuing enquiries and appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Hardgate, Clydebank in the early hours of Saturday 14 September 2019.

Around 1 am on Saturday 14 September 2019, a 17-year-old man had left a function within the Hardgate House Hotel (also known as Cameron House) and made his way towards Glasgow Road, Hardgate.

 At this time a small white car stopped and two or three men got out of the car, grabbed the 17-year-old man and began kicking and punching him. The men then got back into the car and made off in the direction of Bearsden and Drumchapel.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital suffering from head and facial injuries however he left prior to treatment.

Detective Constable Iain Allison at Clydebank CID said:

“Our enquiries have revealed that at the time this incident occurred there was a large group of people in the area who had also come from the function at the hotel. I urge these people to contact police immediately as they may have information that could help identify the persons responsible for this assault.”
