Witness appeal, robbery, Perth

Police in Tayside are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Perth.

The incident happened on a path between Tweedsmuir Road and Struan Road, adjacent to the entrance to Letham Primary School, between 7.50am and 8.05am on Saturday 26 October 2019.

A 54-year-old woman was threatened with a knife before the suspect took her handbag and purse.

The suspect is described as white, between 20 to 30-years-old, around 5ft 7in tall with an average build and clean shaven.

He was wearing a black hooded jacket with his hood up and jeans.

Detective Sergeant Ryan Thompson, of Dundee CID, said: "The victim was shaken but didn't suffer any serious injuries.

"If anyone remembers seeing anyone matching this description around the area at that time acting suspiciously, or has any relevant information, please contact us."
