Appeal following North Lanarkshire serious assault

Police in North Lanarkshire are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in the Shotts area.

The incident happened on Tulloch Road around 6pm on Tuesday, 15 October. A 34-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A man was arrested in connection with this incident and has been released pending further enquiries.

PC Heather McDonald, from Motherwell Police Station, said: “As part of our ongoing enquiries I would ask anyone who either witnessed this incident, or has further information, to get in touch.

“You can do that by contacting Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3039 of 15 October. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
