Building fire in Albert Drive, Pollokshields

About 11:30pm on Sunday 10 November 2019, police and emergency services were called to a fire at a shop (Spice Garden) on Albert Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow.


A number of residents have been evacuated from their homes. One man was treated for smoke inhalation and taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution.


There are no reports of any further injuries.


The building, which included flats above, has collapsed.


Officers remain at the scene. Roads in the surrounding area have been closed, local diversions in place.
