Serious Assaults, Ferguslie Park, Paisley

Detectives are carrying out enquiries to gather more details on a disturbance in Ferguslie Park, Paisley on Thursday 16 May 2019, where four men were injured.


Around 2.50am on Thursday morning, police were called to a report of two men injured in the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley.  Police attended and the injured men were traced in the local area. A further two injured men were traced at addresses nearby.


From initial police enquiries the disturbances may have taken place at an underpass leading from Ferguslie Park Avenue towards Millarston and also between that underpass and Millarston Drive.


The four inured men were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.  Three men aged 20, 18 and 26 years were treated for stab wounds and a 28 year-old man was treated for lacerations.  The 28 year-old man is still being treated in hospital at this time, the others have been released. 


Detective Inspector Robert Bowie of Paisley Police Office said:  “Officers are working to establish more details on the exact circumstances surrounding this disturbance and we are still trying to gather further information from the four men involved.  Officers are checking CCTV footage as they believe that there were more people involved in this disturbance.


“At this stage of our investigation I am appealing to anyone who was in the area in the early hours of this morning who witnessed any incidents take place, or who has information that will further our investigation to contact officers.
