Police in Forth Valley are investigating following the theft of Asian jewellery from an address in Duke Street, Clackmannan.
The incident happened around 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 20, when a five men entered the property wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.
At least eight 24 carat gold pieces of jewellery were taken, along with a brand new black velvet Gucci handbag with a gold logo and a gold strap.
A 79-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were within the property at the time of the incident. They were both unharmed.
Police were contacted and are now appealing for witnesses.
Detective Inspector Frank Travers of Forth Valley’s Criminal Investigation Department said: “This was a frightening incident which has caused huge distress to those involved.
“We are eager to ensure that these items are returned to their owners and would urge anyone who was in the Duke Street area of Clackmannan on the night of Wednesday, March 20, and saw anything suspicious, to contact us at their earliest convenience.
“It is likely the suspects will look to sell on these stolen goods in the local area. If members of the public are approached by anyone looking to offload Asian gold jewellery with no proof of ownership, please decline and get in touch with us.”
