Drugs Recovered - Paisley

Police Scotland officers have recovered a large quantity of cannabis plants from a property in Paisley.

 

Around 5.20 pm on Wednesday 10 July 2019, police searched premises in Well Street, Paisley under warrant.

 

Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of three hundred and fifteen thousand pounds (£315,000) were seized from the property and a 22-year-old man has been arrested.

 

Detective Inspector Stevie Elliot from Greater Glasgow Serious and Organised Crime said:

 

“This substantial recovery emphasises our commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply within our communities.

 

“Drugs cause real devastation to communities and families and Police Scotland will continue to target anyone involved in drugs and the criminality that surrounds it.

 

“Anyone with any concerns or anyone who has information regarding drugs in their area is asked to contact their local police office via telephone number 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.”
