Man charged in connection with ten incidents of theft

Police Scotland have charged two men in connection with the break-in and theft from a business premises in Glenrothes.

The incident happened overnight on Monday 7 January into Tuesday 8 January from the Woodgate Way North area. Four vehicles were stolen during the incident and later recovered in Fife and Forth Valley.

The men, aged 28 and 23 are due to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday 10 January 2019.

The 28-year-old man has also been charged in connection with nine other offences of housebreaking and theft, seven that occurred in the Fife area and two that occurred in the Forth Valley area between 11th December 2018 and 9th January 2019.

Detective Sergeant Mark Beveridge from Glenrothes CID said: “We remain committed to working with colleagues across all divisions to ensure incidents such as these are robustly investigated.

“I’d urge the public to always report any suspicious behaviour in their area to us on 101, or 999 if you witness a crime in progress.
