Appeal after man assaulted in Larkhall house

Police at Cambuslang are continuing enquiries after a man was assaulted within a house in Larkhall on Friday 29 march 2019.

Around 3.10 pm on Friday 29 March 2019, two men forced their way into a house in Hawick Crescent, Larkhall and assaulted a 36-year-old man. The two suspects then ran out of the house and into a silver/grey Jaguar X -Type car that was driven by a third man which made off at speed onto Scotia Crescent Larkhall.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital and later transferred to Monklands Hospital where he was treated for severe facial injuries.

The two suspects who entered the house are described as:

1/ white, 5ft 6, early 50’s, slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing black clothing.

2/ white, around 6ft 2, dark hair shaven into his head, 40’s, stocky/muscular build with tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans.

Detective Constable Ashley Hind at Cambuslang CID said:

“This was a very brutal attack on an innocent man."

“Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have seen the suspects or a silver/grey car hanging about is asked to contact police immediately.

“ Anyone who has the suspects or vehicle captured on their Dash Cam is also asked to contact police as this could prove vital in tracing those responsible for this despicable act of violence.”
