Police Scotland welcomes for the conviction of Liam Richardson and Richard Fleming who robbed Gleneagles Hotel

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Patrick, who led the enquiry said, 'We welcome the result at court today and the conviction of Liam Richardson and Richard Fleming. I'd like to acknowledge the bravery of those who witnessed this reckless and terrifying robbery and to thank them for their help with our enquiries.

'I'd also like to thank the other Police Forces and our partner’s, including our colleagues in the Metropolitan Police for their support in Police Scotland's arrest of these individuals in London.

'This was a painstaking enquiry which took many weeks and the efforts of the officers and police staff who worked on this case should also be recognised.

'I hope this sends out a powerful message to those who may be thinking they can carry out crimes of this kind that we will find you and we will bring you to justice. '
