Offensive note left in Dumfries restaurant

Police Scotland officers in Dumfries are investigating after an offensive note was left on a napkin in the Hong Kong Star, Chinese restaurant in Friars Vennel, Dumfries. The note was found by a staff member around 2 pm on Thursday 15th March.

Constable Paul Murphy, based in Dumfries said, "We are investigating this as a hate crime and are keen to speak to a couple who had been in the restaurant for lunch shortly before the note was found.

The male is described as 20-25, short dark hair and was casually dressed. The female was described as 20-25, long shoulder length dark hair and again casually dressed. Anyone with information should contact Police in Dumfries on the 101 number."
