Man and woman die following collision at Little Loch Broom

Police can sadly confirm that a man and a  woman have died after a vehicle left the A832 at Little Loch Broom, near Ardessie yesterday (Monday 26 March 2018).

They have been identified as 44 year old Kenneth McCrimmon known as Ross McCrimmon and Rose Bassett, 48.

Next of kin have been made aware.

The incident happened at around 3.45pm and the car left the road and went into the water. No other vehicles were involved and no one else was injured.

Road Policing Sergeant Gregor Hay said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the two people who have died at this sad time. Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we would ask that anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw a red Honda Civic travelling in the area at the time contact police on 101 quoting incident number NE2595/18."

The road was closed for around six hours after the incident and has now reopened.
