Appeal following theft by housebreaking near Forres

Officers in Moray are appealing for information following a theft by housebreaking near Forres.

The incident occurred at around 5.30pmn on Thursday 14 June 2018 in the Darnaway area of Forres.

As a result electrical items valued at a low four figure sum were stolen.

Investigating officer PC Lisa Gauld said : “This happened during daylight hours and we are extremely keen to hear from anyone who may have information about this incident.

“We are particularly interested in speaking to a man seen in the area at the time who was driving a black Vauxhall Vectra. He may have valuable information that could assist our enquiries.

“It is understood the vehicle was driven east on the A96 towards Forres.

“If anyone has information that could assist us with this investigation I would ask that they contact Police Scotland quoting reference 3780 of 14 June.

“Information can also be given anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
