Man charged after suspicious fire in Pumpherston

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a suspicious fire in Pumpherston.

During the incident, which happened at around 4am on Saturday 16th June within Drumshoreland Road, a Volvo V40 was set alight, spreading to a Nissan Note and a garden shed.

As a result of local inquiries the man was charged on Thursday 28th June and appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Friday 29th June, where he was remanded in custody.

Police would like to thank the public for coming forward with information to assist with this investigation.
