Police Scotland's first Corporate Parenting 3 Year Report

Published 05 June 2018

On 1 April 2015, Police Scotland along with other public bodies and organisations were named as corporate parents under Part 9 of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. In March 2018 we published our national Corporate Parenting Plan which is a real opportunity to help improve the futures of care experienced children and young people.

Police Scotland is pleased to announce that it has now published the first 3 year report on the progress made as a corporate parent.

ACC MacDonald said “Police Scotland is delighted to publish this first 3 year report on our progress as a corporate parent. As an organisation we have made significant progress over the course of the last 3 years. This report sets out some of this work. However, we recognise we have vital work to undertake to better understand and respond to the needs of care experienced young people”.
