Man charged following armed robbery at Kinglassie Post Office

Police in Fife can confirm that a 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery at Kinglassie Post Office.

The incident happened around 2.15pm on Thursday, January 18, at the post office in Kinglassie Main Street.

The 38-year-old is scheduled to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 23.

Detective Inspector Paul Dick of Fife CID said:  “Our officers are dedicated to tackling crimes of violence and dishonesty whenever they occur.

“We have worked tirelessly since this incident was reported to us on Thursday afternoon.

“I would like to thank the victim and the local community for the support they have given us, which has allowed us to progress our investigation.”
