Appeal for information after Dundee break-ins

Published 17 January 2018

Police Scotland is appealing for information about 2 break-ins to community facilities in the Menzieshill area of Dundee.

Firstly, the Lynch Sports Centre in South Road was broken into about 1:50am on Monday 15th. A fire door was forced open to gain entry, and a quantity of cash was stolen.

Secondly, the Menzieshill Community Centre in Orleans Place was broken into about 12:30am today (Wednesday 17th) by breaking windows to gain entry. Nothing was taken.

In both incidents, the alarms activated which may have disturbed the perpetrators before they could take anything else.

Although these incidents happened on different nights, we cannot rule out a possibility that they could be linked.
