Appeal following Tarves garage break in

Published 30 January 2018

Officers in Ellon are appealing for information following a break-in to a garage in Tarves.

Sometime between 11.15pm on Sunday 28 January 2018 and 8.00am on Monday 29 January 2018 a garage was broken into in the Tree Road area of Tarves but nothing was taken.

Investigating officer PC Nicola Wood of the Formartine Community Policing Team said: "If anyone recalls hearing or seeing anything suspicious in the area overnight on Sunday I would ask them to get in touch.

"Thankfully nothing was taken in this incident but I would take this opportunity to remind all homeowners to be vigilant and ensure that they keep their front doors, windows, garages and outbuildings locked overnight and to hide, or make it difficult to remove any valuables.

"If anyone does recall seeing or hearing anything that might be useful to this investigation I would ask that they call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0762 of 29 January."

Information can also be reported anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
