Appeal following theft of cash in Boat of Garten

Police in Aviemore are appealing for information following a theft of a quantity of cash from a shop in the Boat of Garten area.

A value in excess of £2,000 was removed from the premises on Deshar Road in the village sometime between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday, December 26.

The shop was open at the time and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area who believes they may be able to help to make contact.

Sergeant Steven Maclennan said: "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have seen anyone carrying a red banking bag in the area of the shop on Boxing Day.

"Anyone with information, even if it may have seemed of little note at the time, is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1718 of December 27, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
