Officers investigate housebreaking in Selkirk

Police in the Scottish Borders are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking in Selkirk.

The incident happened sometime between 12.30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday 27th November at an address in Marion Crescent.

Those responsible entered the property before stealing various electrical items from inside, along with a grey Volkswagen Passat estate with registration AK57 LZD from outside.

Local officers are pursuing various lines of inquiry to identify the suspects and the stolen goods.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Detective Inspector Paul Batten said: "This high-value break-in may have attracted the attention of neighbours and other members of the public and so we would urge anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity within Marion Crescent to contact police immediately.

"In addition, anyone who sees the stolen Volswagen or has information that can help us trace those responsible should also get in touch."
