Appeal for information following assault and robbery in Broxburn
Detectives in West Lothian are appealing for information after a 14-year-old male youth was assaulted and robbed.
Around 8pm on Tuesday, 5 May, 2026, the youth was in Greendykes Road, Broxburn on his electric bike with his friend when a white van with two men inside pulled up alongside them.
One of them men got out of the van and assaulted the youth and took his electric Talaira Sting Mx4 bike. He got back in the van, and it took off in an unknown direction.
The youth was not injured as a result of the assault.
Detective Constable Graeme Comrie said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident to come forward.
“As part of our investigations, we will be reviewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries.
“Please come forward if you have private CCTV or dash-cam footage you may have captured something that can assist our enquiries.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2811 of Tuesday, 5 May, 2026.”
