Youth arrested and charged in connection with assault in Dundee

A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault in Dundee.

Around 9pm on Friday, 20 March, 2026, two boys, aged 12 and 14, and a 17-year-old female were assaulted in an alleyway near High Street.

The 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment.

A report will be submitted to the relevant authority.

Two youths, aged 15 and 13, were previously arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear in court at a later date.

Local Area Commander Chief Inspector Colin Echevarria said: “Dundee continues to take a zero-tolerance approach to youth violence, with officers from the City Centre Community Policing Team carrying out high-visibility patrols and targeted prevention activity.

“We are working closely with partners and engaging with young people to intervene early, while continuing to take appropriate action to address offending behaviour and reduce harm in our communities.”
