Woman charged in connection with fatal crash in Port Glasgow in 2024

A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Port Glasgow in 2024.

The crash, which saw a Volkswagen Golf strike an unoccupied parked car, happened around 9.55pm on Monday, 16 December, 2024, on Clune Brae.

Emergency services attended and Scott McFadden, 38, from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 52-year-old female driver was arrested in December 2024 and released pending further enquiries.

She was charged in connection on Wednesday, 11 March, 2026 and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Constable Robert Mackie said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Scott at this time who are being supported by officers.”
