On Thursday 4 May, 2023, officers from Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism recovered cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of £298,400 at Yeamans Lane, Dundee.
George Ramsay, 30 and Christopher McKinney 48, pleaded guilty to the offences in February, 2026. Ramsay was sentenced to six years and three months in prison and McKinney was sentenced to five years at Edinburgh High Court on Wednesday, 11 March, 2025.
Detective Chief Inspector Julia Ogilvie said: “This sentencing of Ramsay and McKinney underlines our commitment to tackling drugs in our communities.
“This was a significant recovery which highlights our continued commitment to the Serious and Organised Crime Taskforce, and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
“Drugs cause misery in our community and action like this is only possible through the continued support of the public. Information is vital to our work, and we continue to urge people report any concerns to us.”
