Two arrested in connection with drug and serious and organised crime offences

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with drug dealing and serious and organised crime offences following an intelligence led operation.

Officers attended at an address in Motherwell on Monday, 16 March, 2026 where a 46-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug and serious and organised crime offences and is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on a later date.

On the same day, a 37-year-old man was arrested and charged after his vehicle was stopped in the Douglas area of Dundee.

Officers then executed a warrant at an address in Dundee where a four-figure sum of cash, and small quantities of class B and suspected class C controlled drugs were recovered. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 17 March 2025.

Detective Inspector Gary Lamb said: “This enforcement action is the culmination of an intelligence led investigation and many months of detailed investigative work by detectives tackling serious and organised crime.

“This operation should send a clear message to those who seek to profit from drug supply and involvement in serious and organised crime – dealing drugs brings harm and misery to our communities. It will not be tolerated.

“This shows our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Information from the public is crucial in helping us to combat those involved in this type of activity in our communities. Anyone with any information or concerns about criminality is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
