Robbery - Wishaw

Detectives are appealing for information following a robbery in Wishaw.

Around 6.30pm on Saturday, 14 March, 2026, a man entered a shop on Stewarton Street with a knife before demanding money from the till. He made off with a quantity of cash and was last seen heading towards the Stonecraig Road area.

The man is described as aged in his 20s, around 5ft 11 in height and of medium build. He was wearing a dark face covering, a grey hooded top which was covering his head, a light-coloured baseball cap, a dark blue outer jacket and black trousers.

Detective Constable Catriona Blair said: “Thankfully, nobody was injured during this incident. Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened or remembers a person matching the description to contact us. 

“Similarly, anybody local with private CCTV, doorbell cameras or drivers with dash-cam footage should also contact us as you may have captured something which could assist.”
