Road crash on the A75 near Springholm

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a single vehicle crash on the A75 on Wednesday, 18 March, 2026.

Around 4.50pm, a crash involving a MAN articulated lorry took place close to Auchenreoch Loch, near Springholm, Castle Douglas.

The male driver of the lorry was uninjured.

Constable Callum Kingstree said: "Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.

"Anyone with dash-cam from the area at the time is asked to review this and please contact us if it holds anything relevant."
