Motorcyclist dies after crash on the B7024 in South Ayrshire

A 57-year-old man has died after a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle on the B7024 Alloway to Maybole road in South Ayrshire.

The collision happened shortly after 6.30pm on Friday, 13 March, 2026 north of Culroy and involved a red Honda VFR800 motorcycle, a grey Omoda 9 Noble and a white Volkswagen Tiguan.

The rider of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.

The road was closed until shortly after 4am on Saturday, 14 March to allow for an investigation at the scene.

Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this collision.

“Our investigation to establish exactly what happened is ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash.

“Anyone who believes they can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2877 of 13 March, 2026.”
