Man arrested and charged in connection with serious sexual assault in Paisley

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in Paisley.

The incident took place around 8.15pm on Tuesday, 3 March, 2026, on Meetinghouse Lane.

The man is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 6 March, 2026.

Detective Inspector David Hardie said: “I’d like to thank the members of the public and local community for their support and assistance during our enquiries.”
