Man arrested and charged following attempted robbery in Kilmarnock

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Kilmarnock.

Around 12pm on Sunday, 8 March, 2026, a 79-year-old woman was walking on London Road at it’s junction with Dunure Drive, when she was approached by a man who attempted to forcibly pull her bag from her.  

The man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, 12 March, 2025.
