Further arrest and charge in connection with the death of Robert Best in Inverclyde

 

Investigating officers have arrested and charged a 39-year-old man in connection with the death of Robert Best in Inverclyde.

He is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday, 16 March, 2026.

Four men, aged 25, 36, 44 and 51, and two women aged, 41 and 64, were previously arrested and charged as part of the investigation and have appeared in court.

Enquiries are ongoing.
