Fatal road crash near Longman Drive, Inverness

An 88-year-old man has died following a crash in Inverness.

Around 2.40pm on Monday, 9 March, 2026, officers were called to a report of a one-car crash in a car park near to Longman Drive in Inverness.

Emergency services attended and the elderly man was taken to Raigmore Hospital, where he died on Thursday, 12 March, 2026.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken with police.
