Cocaine recovered by officers near Fort William
Officers have recovered Class A drugs, worth an estimated street value of £600,000, near Fort William.
Around 1.50pm on Friday, 13 March, 2026, officers searched a car on the A82 just south of Fort William. During the vehicle search, officers discovered a quantity of cocaine.
A 55-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure. He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, 16 March 2026.
Detective Inspector Angus Morrison said: "This very significant recovery sends a clear message that we will not tolerate illegal drugs in our communities. Our officers are determined to protect the public from this harmful criminality by disrupting the sale of illegal substances, preventing them being circulated on the streets of Scotland and addressing the concerns of local people.
“This action underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
