Appeal for information following housebreakings in Livingston

Detectives are appealing for information following a series of housebreakings in Livingston.

Around 9.15pm on Wednesday, 11 March, 2026, entry was forced to a property on Buchanan Crescent. A number of items are believed to have been stolen, including jewellery. Three men were seen leaving the locus, all dressed in dark clothing.

Around 11am on Saturday, 14 March, 2026, entry was forced to another property on Ballantyne Place by three men. A safe was stolen that had jewellery worth a five-figure sum within.

The first suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a black baseball hat, gloves, tracksuit bottoms, a jacket, trainers and a grey snood.

The second suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a black beanie, grey snood, dark green jacket, khaki tracksuit bottoms, black and white trainers and neon yellow and black gloves.

The third suspect is described as 6ft tall, of heavy build and was wearing a grey snood, white button-down shirt, grey gloves and tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.

Detective Constable Daniel McLaughlin said: “We are keeping an open mind about whether these incidents are linked, and our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.

“I would ask that anyone who was in the area at the time of either incident and saw something suspicious contact police.

“I am also appealing to those with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage to please review it to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
