Appeal for information following housebreaking and theft in Ayr
Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking and theft in Ayr.
The incident happened between 5.30pm on Friday, 13 March, and 12.50pm on Saturday, 14 March, 2026, at a property in the Longbank Road area.
Entry was forced at the property and a window was smashed. A number of items including watches and jewellery worth approximately £75,000 were stolen from within.
Detective Sergeant David Gillies said: “This was a high-value theft and we are appealing to the public for assistance.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to contact us as soon as possible.
“In addition, anyone with any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to come forward as this may be able to assist.”
