Appeal for information following disturbance in Greenock

Officers are appealing for information following a disturbance in Greenock.

The incident happened between 4pm and 4.45pm on Saturday, 14 March, 2026, on Murdieston Street.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 5ft 6in to 5ft 10in tall, with fair hair. He was wearing a black jacket and black trousers.

Sergeant Kevin Carter said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
