Appeal for information following assault in Johnstone

Detectives are appealing for information following an assault in Johnstone.

Around 5.50am on Saturday, 21 March, 2026, a 40-year-old man was assaulted in Cartside Avenue.

He was taken to Royal Alexandria Hospital for treatment.

Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Officers are keen to trace three men who are understood to have assaulted the man.

“We are carrying out door to door enquiries and a review of CCTV to identify those responsible.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 0526 of 21 March, 2026.”
