Appeal for information following assault in Coatbridge

Detectives are appealing for information following an assault in Coatbridge.

The incident happened around 5.50pm on Sunday, 1 March, 2026 within Drumpellier Park.

A 46-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 20-years-old, of slim build, with blonde, wavy hair. He was wearing a face mask.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Campbell said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to contact us.

“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
