Appeal following housebreaking in West Lothian

Detectives are appealing for information following a housebreaking in West Lothian.

Around 5.45pm on Monday, 23 March, 2026, entry was forced to a property on South East Longridge Crofts by two men. A number of items are believed to have been stolen, including jewellery worth a five-figure sum.

The first suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a black hooded jacket, balaclava, gloves, tracksuit bottoms and black and white trainers

The second suspect is described as around 6ft tall, of medium build and was wearing a grey balaclava, navy blue jacket, tracksuit bottoms, black, white and neon green trainers and grey and black gloves

Both men left the scene in a blue car towards Stoneyburn.

Detective Constable Daniel McLaughlin said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and I would ask that anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw something suspicious contact police.

“I am also appealing to those with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage to please review it to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
